Yuva Datta – 2018

Sept 9th 2018

1. Chanted ‘Vasudeva Sutam Devam’

2. Covered two Bhagavad Gita Slokas:

dhyayato visayan pumsah
sangas tesupajayate
sangat sanjayate kamah
kamat krodho ‘bhijayate

While contemplating the objects of the senses, a person develops attachment for them, and from such attachment excessive desire (lust) develops, and from excessive desire, anger arises due to frustration from non-fulfillment of excess desires (as there’s no end to them).

krodhad bhavati sammohah
sammohat smrti-vibhramah
smrti-bhramsad buddhi-naso
buddhi-nasat pranasyati

From anger, delusion arises, and from delusion, bewilderment of memory happens. When memory is bewildered, intelligence is lost, and when intelligence is lost, one falls down from Divine grace… deep into the material world and gets trapped in permanent sorrow.

3. Discussed a journal based approach for 2018 and use that for Public speaking exercises each session on ‘Values from BhagavadGita’
